The Roof Guard – Similar to the Ox Guard, except the sword was raised higher as if the swordsman was carrying an umbrella over their head.Only the best warriors deployed this tactic, as it was difficult to mount an attack in this position. The swordsman held the sword at hip level with the hilt directly aimed at the opponent. The Fools Guard – It was a very unusual guard as it fooled the opponent, luring him to attack. This guard is effective for fighting overhead assaults or upper-body thrusts. The sword is held high to the side, with the blade inclined downwards. The Ox Guard – It gets its name from the idea that the swordsman uses their sword like an ox’s horns to deflect attacks. It was effective against lower body attacks such as the leg sweep. The swordsman held the sword hilt low and to the side, with the blade inclined towards the opponent. ![]() The Plow Guard – It was named so because it resembled the position of a farmer pushing a plow. There were four most prominent medieval longsword guards: Medieval Longsword GuardsĪ guard was a defensive position a warrior would stand in before launching an attack. I want to emphasize again- the purpose of this thread is not to display modern fantasy weapons or illustrations, but rather "fantasy"-type weapons that were either created in the Middle Ages, or envisioned during the Middle Ages. This thread is a chance to showcase some of these more unusual medieval creations. But what about weapons from the Middle Ages, whether antique weapons or illustrated in manuscripts, that are fantastic looking? In some cases, fantasy medieval weapons appear to be equally unusual and strange as modern fantasy creations. We've all seen fantasy versions of medieval swords and other weapons from video games, role playing games, movies, and the like. 2017 chevy trax near me11/21/2023 ![]() ![]() Key coding machine for Chevrolet key fobs and transponder keys These keys required the expertise of an automotive locksmith or dealer.Ĭhevrolet non-transponder keys are metal keys that have no chip in them, so no programming is needed.Ĭhevrolet Trax has none of this key type – all Chevrolet Trax keys have a chip and need to be programmed.įor Chevrolet Trax keys that need to be programmed, you will need an automotive locksmith or the dealer: Keys that need to be programmed (Transponder or remote keys). No programming needed (Non-transponder keys). To make things simple, we divided all Chevrolet keys into two categories: There is no need to program non-transponder metal keys. This process requires a special programming machine that only an automotive locksmith or the dealer has. All transponder chip keys and/or smart key fobs need to be programmed. Some require programming, and some don’t. Q: Chevrolet Trax key programming – which keys can you program yourself? Which keys require a programming tool? & moreĪ: Chevrolet has different types of keys. However, as coding is required, you will have to either tow the car to the dealer, or have an automotive locksmith come and code the key on site. For vehicles equipped with a transponder system and/or a remote/intelligent key/fob key, the codes should be available. If your vehicle is older than 10 years, Chevrolet dealers will no longer have its key code record, so an automotive locksmith will be your only option to get a replacement key. There are however two things to consider: The VIN gives dealers or automotive locksmiths the option of accessing the key code on file – i.e., to cut you a replacement key by code which makes the process fast and easy. Q: Can I get a Chevrolet Trax key replacement by its VIN?Ī: That depends on the year of manufacture of your car and the type of key you had. (Chevrolet Trax key fob usually use CR-2032 battery) Make sure you know the type of battery you need and keep a spare one. Know which battery your Chevrolet Trax key fob has – These key fobs, like all key fobs, are battery operated. Where you get a key replacement (dealer, automotive locksmith, online, etc.)Įmergency key cut – Make sure they cut it for you and check it works. In short, replacing a Chevrolet Trax key can cost between $180 to $345. Q: Chevrolet Trax key replacement cost – How much does it cost to replace a Chevrolet Trax key without the original? What is the average price? You can also try and call a few Chevrolet dealers near your location, but remember that you will need to tow the car there.įinally, make sure you can show ownership of the car by having the necessary documents – title, ID, insurance card, etc. All you have to make sure is that they carry the right equipment to cut and program your Chevrolet Trax key. Their distance as you see on the map, is their business address, not their physical and current location. All Chevrolet Trax key fobs and transponder keys must be coded with the car on-site Remember,

Alan wake 2 all rumors11/20/2023 ![]() ![]() After the publication of the last book in the Alex Casey series, The Sudden Stop, Alan was met with a sudden and immense strain of writer's block, unable to write a word for years. Alan also had a history of substance abuse, including heavy drinking.Īlan eventually married Alice, who became a talented photographer, the two living in an apartment in Parliament Tower. Charges were filed, but Alan avoided jail time for it. One instance occurred on Januwhen he assaulted a man named Peter Villadsen when he pushed his camera into his eye. Alan also became known for his cantankerous and at times violent personality, which on multiple occasions resulted in altercations with paparazzi. Barry became Alan's literary agent and helped to facilitate his success. Alan wrote five more Alex Casey books in the following seven years, all of which were bestsellers. Alan's name became internationally known when he wrote the first installment in the Alex Casey crime thriller novel series. Alan wrote several episodes for the show, and it ultimately kicked off his larger writing career. One of Alan's first scripts written to audition for the show depicted a secret organization, the Federal Bureau of Night Springs, investigating a parallel dimension. Some time later, Barry helped Alan land a job as a writer for the cult television series Night Springs. He and Alice later took a road trip in Arizona. Two years later in 1998, Alan got in trouble with the law for "public drunkenness and battery", where he was charged the following year in West Hollywood, though avoided jail time. ![]() The lighthouse that appeared in this story would also become significant to Wake in his later life. As observed by Clay Steward in The Alan Wake Files, the short story contained many motifs which would become staples of Wake's writing, including absent or mysterious father figures, and a battle between darkness and light. It was during the night watchman job that he met Alice, an aspiring photographer who also came to New York City with dreams of being an artist.Īlan's first short story, Errand Boy, was published in Dark Vision magazine in 1996, when Alan was only eighteen years old. Prior to becoming a full-fledged writer, Alan moved to New York City and would often take on odd jobs, with one of them as a night watchman in order to help inspire his upcoming stories. In his teen years, Alan became a fan of Stephen King, who inspired him to become a writer when he grew up. Their friendship would continue for years thereafter into their adult lives. Alan was typically the one causing this, with Barry bailing them out. Alan would later learn that these events had been written into his reality by the poet Thomas Zane, possibly implying that Zane himself created Alan.Īlan befriended Barry Wheeler at a young age, the two of them often getting into trouble. From that point on, Alan was no longer afraid of the dark and kept the Clicker in his possession. She told Alan that the light switch had the power to banish the darkness, and that it was a gift from Alan's father. When he was 7 years of age, he was deeply afraid of the dark, to the point that his mother eventually gave him an old light switch she called "the Clicker". Since he was born, he suffered from a rare condition that made him overly sensitive to light. Events took a dark turn when Alice was kidnapped by an unseen force and Wake was forced to fight his way through possessed townsfolk all while experiencing the events of a story he didn't even remember writing.Īlan Wake was born in 1977 to Linda Wake and an unknown father. He is set to return as one of the two protagonists of the upcoming sequel, Alan Wake II, with the other being Saga Anderson.Īlan Wake is a bestselling American novelist, and after suffering from a two-year strain of writer's block, Alan was brought on vacation by his wife Alice to the idyllic Pacific Northwest town of Bright Falls. Serving as the main protagonist of Alan Wake, Alan Wake's American Nightmare and its two DLCs, he also briefly appears as a minor character in the mini-series Bright Falls and Control, and as a key character in the latter's DLC, AWE. ― Alan Wake, Episode 1: NightmareĪlan Wake is the titular main protagonist of the Alan Wake franchise. The unanswered mystery is what stays with us the longest, and it's what we'll remember in the end. ![]() In a horror story, the victim keeps asking "Why?", but there can be no explanation, and there shouldn't be one.

Color me blue lyrics classic rock11/20/2023 Released on the band’s self titled 1969 album, “Linger on your pale blue eyes” is about being in love with a married woman.įrom Springsteen’s 2014 EP American Beauty, this dark song about blue eyes is really a political metaphor. “Pale Blue Eyes” by The Velvet Underground “I’m not used to losing / Bye, bye, sugar blue eyes / You’re home with the angels / Thank you for being so kind.” Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo told Genius the song is about loss, and reminiscing about what it feels like to spend summer without someone. “In the twilight glow I see them, blue eyes cryin’ in the rain / When we kissed goodbye and parted, I knew we’d never meet again.” The sad ballad took a bare, unfiltered approach on Nelson’s take of the country classic, earning him his first Grammy for best country vocal performance. “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain” by Willie Nelson “No light, no light in your bright blue eyes / I never knew daylight could be so violent.” Florence’s rich, haunting vocals soar on this Ceremonials track as she screams out for a lost love. “No Light, No Light” by Florence and the Machine ![]() “She’s got eyes of the bluest skies as if they thought of rain / I hate to look into those eyes and see an ounce of pain.” The iconic rock jam got a classic reboot in Step Brothers, during the famous sing-along scene. This song about blue eyes from 1988 commemorates Jenifer Straight, George’s daughter who was killed at age 13 two years before the song was released. “And baby blue was the color of her eyes / Baby blue like the Colorado skies / Like a breath of spring, she came and left / And I still don’t know why / So here’s to you and whoever holds my baby blue tonight.” This Johnny Cash song got an update in 1989 with Nicks’ signature waspy sound. “Oh, no I never got over those blue eyes, I see them everywhere / I miss those arms that held me when all the love was there.” “Come back baby, don’t you cry / Don’t you drain those big blue eyes” is about an exhausting relationship with an abusive alcoholic, but not being able to leave. The classic 1969 prelude to their imminent breakup was all the more heartbreaking on lyrics like “This does not mean I don’t love you / I do, that’s forever.” ![]() “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes” by Crosby, Stills & NashĬrosby, Stills & Nash debuted this song at Woodstock, written by Steven Stills to his girlfriend at the time, singer Judy Collins. ![]() “My baby lives in shades of blue / Blue eyes and jazz and attitude / He lives in California too / He drives a Chevy Malibu.” Lana details a blue, blue romance with a man who’s cool exterior only leads to an impenetrable icy heart. This feel good Euro- dance track builds up from a simple groove into chants of, “I was lost in those blue eyes.” Perfect for chilling on an beach in Mykonos, but your backyard will do. “Dark as the midnight hour, I’m bright as the mornin’ sun / Brown skinned, but your blue eyes tell me your mama can’t run.” Lamar’s poignant track from To Pimp A Butterfly tells stories of colorism and racism while proclaiming “Complexion don’t mean a thing.” “Complexion (A Zulu Love)” by Kendrick Lamar This country jam is so infectious, when the band harmonizes on ?”I see a dust trail following an old red Nova / Baby blue eyes, your head on my shoulder” it’s impossible not to sing out in agreement.
